Capel Plough FC is a friendly, popular and successful football club in South Suffolk. Established in 1969, it has always been a fundamental part of our local community with strong ties to both Suffolk and Essex. Capel Plough FC has a profoundly progressive, diverse and inclusive football philosophy. We welcome female and males player from both Suffolk and Essex regardless of background.

From energetic taster sessions for children aged 4–7 to competitive youth squads and dedicated adult teams, each group is led by passionate managers who foster development, teamwork, and a love for the game.

Capel Plough FC has plenty to celebrate, with recent honours including a double triumph in the Suffolk Veterans League Division 6 and the Suffolk County Shield. These achievements reflect the club’s dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit across all levels.

Our Club’s ethos is to enjoy playing football, to have great team camaraderie and to strive to achieve success on the pitch.

We aim to substantially develop 'grassroots' football within Capel St Mary and the surrounding area; providing an inclusive football centre and hub for the community and beyond. Capel Plough FC will endeavour to help players to realise and fulfil their potential, developing personal skills and confidence while always providing a safe and positive way of coaching football to players of all abilities

Our youth teams play across two leagues; In the Suffolk Youth Football League on Saturdays and in the Ipswich and Suffolk Youth League and the Suffolk Girls and Women’s League.
